Newsletter

Get free immigration updates by email

Our free newsletter sends a weekly digest of U.S. immigration changes, explained in plain language with links to the official source. When something time-sensitive happens, such as a new fee rule or a registration window opening, we send a short alert. Pick the topics you care about and unsubscribe anytime.

What you get

  • Weekly digest. The week's notable changes from USCIS, the Department of State, the Department of Labor and the courts, with what they may mean and links to the official source.
  • Urgent alerts. Short messages, sent only when something time-sensitive happens, such as a new rule with a near effective date, a registration period opening, or a major court decision.
  • Guide updates. Notes when we significantly update a guide on a topic you follow.

We keep alerts rare so they stay useful. The exact number varies with the news. Between emails, our policy tracker lists recent changes with their official sources.

What the newsletter is not

The newsletter is general information, not legal advice about your case. We never send emails asking for your passport number, A-number, Social Security number, bank details or fees, and we never send Diversity Visa lottery results. Lottery entrants check results only on the official State Department website. If you receive an email like that using our name, it is a scam. See how to avoid immigration scams.

Emails may include clearly labeled advertising from participating immigration attorneys. Advertising never changes what we report.

Your privacy

To sign up we only need your email address. Your topic and language choices are optional. We use them to send the emails you asked for and to understand which topics are useful. We do not sell your email address, and we do not give it to attorneys or other advertisers. Every email includes a working unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly. Our email service may record whether messages are opened or links are clicked; you can limit this by turning off images in your email app. Details are in our privacy policy.
